System innovation

Tracciato-TO

TRACCIA-TO is an experimental initiative within the CLIMABOROUGH project, co-funded by the European Union and CINEA, project that aims to bridge the gap between urban innovation design and implementation. It provides cities with tools to adopt climate-neutral services in line with their urban planning strategies.

TRACCIA-TO seeks to develop a socio-technological solution for monitoring textile waste data (both formal and informal) and improving the collection of textiles and WEEE by actively engaging stakeholders and citizens in the San Salvario district of Turin. The one-year project (September 2024 – September 2025) aims to gather data on formal, informal, unreported, and household textile waste flows, enhancing collection systems and reducing improper disposal in residual waste streams. This will be achieved through advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence. Key partners involved in the project are Erion, Erica, and ReLearn.
